Abstract

Scientific works (starting from 1873) of famous economists and political philosophers based on theoretical/philosophical considerations about the preconditions of changes of World’s economy scope stipulate the inclusive analysis of factors which possibly influence the challenges of society and economy of XXI’st century. It is very modern to say that expression of globalisation is the origin of all changes. The European Commission states that about one-fifth of the increase in EU countries economies over the past 50 years depends on integration of the world economy, i. e. globalisation. Taking it into account, theoretical considerations about the possible impact of globalisation to the European economy development is analysed in the article. Free scientific problems are raised: if globalisation effects the growth of economy, how this process could be managed? What expression derivatives of globalisation do influence positive changes of the country’s economy? Is it possible to eliminate or diminish the effect of globalisation characteristics with the negative nature? Theoretical comparative analysis of the scientific works, analysis of legal documents as well as strategies and practical papers in this field is taken as the research methods. Three tasks are raised: to systemise the statements of existing scientific works (theories) as well as EU initiatives considering globalisation phenomenon; to highlight European economy development tendencies associated with globalisation; to present recommendations for management of influence of globalisation to the development of EU’s economy. There were systemised statements of existing scientific works (theories) as well as EU initiatives considering globalisation phenomenon in the article. The impact (positive as well as negative) of globalisation to the development of economy was highlighted. Criteria of globalisation expression were systemised. This instrument could be used for the assessment of globalisation impact to the development of economy.
